APU: is a retail propane distributor in the United States. As at September 30, 2007, it served approximately 1.3 million residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and motor fuel customers from approximately 650 district locations in 46 states. It conducts its business principally through its subsidiary, AmeriGas Propane, L.P. (AmeriGas OLP) and its subsidiary, AmeriGas Eagle Propane, L.P. (Eagle OLP and together with AmeriGas OLP, the Operating Partnership). The Partnership also sells, installs and services propane appliances, including heating systems. In certain markets, the Partnership also installs and services propane fuel systems for motor vehicles. AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is its general partner, which is responsible for managing the Company's operations. In August 2007, AmeriGas Partners, L.P. announced that its operating partnership has acquired All Star Gas Corporation, a propane distribution business serving over 42,000 customers in five states.
ZZXAA: is engaged in the distribution of natural gas in Quebec. The Company has four segments: Distribution, which delivers natural gas to users; Transportation, which transports natural gas, generally from the producers to the distributors; Storage, which stores natural gas, and Energy Services and Others, which includes non-regulated activities of energy and technology services, sale, leasing, financing and maintenance of gas appliances, water and waste water system diagnoses and repairs, fiber optics, and leasing of water heaters. On April 12, 2007, the Company through its wholly owned subsidiary, Northern New England Energy Corporation (NNEEC), acquired Green Mountain Power Corporation. NGG: is engaged in the ownership and operation of regulated electricity and gas infrastructure networks in the United Kingdom and the United States. It also has interests in related markets, including electricity interconnectors, metering services, liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities and property in the United Kingdom, LNG storage and transportation, unregulated gas transmission pipelines and home energy services in the United States. The Company's business operations are divided into segments, which include Transmission-UK, Transmission-US, Gas Distribution-UK, Gas Distribution-US, US Electricity Distribution & Generation and Non-Regulated Business and Other. On April 3, 2007, and August 15, 2007, the Company sold its UK and US wireless infrastructure operations respectively. On August 31, 2007, the Company sold its Basslink electricity interconnector in Australia. On August 24, 2007, National Grid completed the acquisition of KeySpan Corporation. |
