Dunnan on Dollars Personal Finance Tips from Nancy Dunnan
The Ultimate Safety Kit
April 30, 2011 - With storms and fires sweeping through large portions of our country, it's more important than ever to be prepared. Often, you have less than 5 minutes to race to the basement or an interior room when warning signals blare. However, you'll have most of the bases covered if you assemble a "disaster kit" in advance and keep it in a fire-proof container, ideally two of them -- one in your house and one in your car or, if you live in a city and don't have a car, your second copy should be in the place where you work. If we've left anything out, other than traveling with your team of personal physicians, let us know and we'll send you a copy of Nancy's latest book.
