AMFC: a savings and loan holding company for American Savings, FSB (the Bank). The Bank is a community-based financial institution that offers a variety of selected financial services to meet the needs of the community served by it. The Bank attracts deposits from the general public, and uses such deposits to originate and purchase one- to four-family residential mortgages, and to a lesser extent, non-residential real estate, multi-family real estate, consumer, commercial business, land and construction loans. It also invests in mortgage-backed securities, investment securities consisting primarily of the United States Government obligations and various types of short-term liquid assets. The Bank serves the financial needs of families and local businesses in its primary market area, northwest Lake County, Indiana, through its main office located in Munster, Indiana, and two branch offices located in the communities of Dyer and Hammond, Indiana.
FNFI: a unitary, non-diversified holding company that operates through its wholly owned operating subsidiary, Home Federal Savings and Loan Association of Niles (Home Federal or the Bank). Its principal business consists of attracting retail deposits from the general public and investing those funds primarily in permanent and construction loans secured by first mortgages on one- to four-family residences. The Company also originates permanent and construction loans secured by first mortgages on commercial and multi-family real estate. The Company operates in Niles and Ohio market areas. NYB: the holding company for New York Community Bank (the Community Bank) and New York Commercial Bank (the Commercial Bank). The Company has 214 banking offices serving customers in all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County in New York, and Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Union counties in New Jersey. The Community Bank has 178 locations that operate through five local divisions: Queens County Savings Bank, Roslyn Savings Bank, Richmond County Savings Bank, Roosevelt Savings Bank and Garden State Community Bank. The Commercial Bank has 36 branches serving Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Westchester County, and Long Island, including 17 branches of Atlantic Bank. |
