BKS: a content, commerce and technology company that provides customers access to books, magazines, newspapers and other content across its multi-channel distribution platform. As of May 1, 2010, the Company operated 1,357 bookstores in 50 states, 637 bookstores on college campuses, and one a Web eCommerce sites, which includes the development of digital content products and software. Barnes & Noble operates in two segments: B&N Retail and B&N College. B&N Retail refers to Barnes & Noble excluding B&N College. The Company's principal business is the sale of trade books (generally hardcover and paperback consumer titles, mass market paperbacks (such as mystery, romance, science fiction and other popular fiction), children's books, eBooks and other digital content, eReaders and related accessories, bargain books, music and movies direct to customers through its bookstores or on Barnes & Noble.com. UNTD: a provider of consumer products and services over the Internet. The Company's offerings feature brands, including FTD Group, Inc. (FTD), Interflora, Classmates, NetZero, Inc. (NetZero) and MyPoints.com, Inc. (MyPoints). UOL operates its business in three segments. FTD, classmates media and communications. FTD offers floral and related products and services for consumers, retail florists and other retail locations. Classmates Media offers online social networking and online loyalty marketing services. Communications offers Internet access, e-mail, Internet security and Web hosting services. SGU: a home heating oil distributor and services provider that principally provides services to residential and commercial customers to heat their homes and buildings. As of September 30, 2010, the Company sold home heating oil to approximately 404,000 full services residential and commercial home heating oil customers and propane to approximately 10,000 propane customers. It also sells home heating oil, gasoline and diesel fuel to approximately 35,000 customers on a delivery only basis. It installs, maintains and repairs heating and air conditioning equipment for its customers and provides ancillary home services, including home security and plumbing, to approximately 11,000 customers. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2010 (fiscal 2010), it completed five acquisitions and added approximately 56,100 home heating oil, propane and security accounts.
