CWH: a real estate investment trust (REIT), which owns and leases office buildings. The subsidiaries of the Company include Hospitality Properties Trust (HPT), Senior Housing Properties Trust (SNH) and Government Properties Income Trust (GOV). As of March 31, 2010, the Company owned office and industrial properties with approximately 67 million square feet located in 35 states and Washington, D.C. PDM: a real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is engaged in the acquisition and ownership of commercial real estate properties throughout the United States, including properties that are under construction, newly constructed, or have operating histories. Piedmont conducts business primarily through Piedmont Operating Partnership, L.P. (Piedmont OP), a limited partnership, as well as performing the management of its buildings through two wholly owned subsidiaries, Piedmont Government Services, LLC and Piedmont Office Management, LLC. Piedmont is the sole general partner of Piedmont OP. Piedmont OP owns properties directly, through wholly owned subsidiaries and through certain joint ventures with other third parties. GOV: a real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company was formed to invest in properties that are leased to government tenants. The Company owns 29 properties, 25 of which are leased primarily to the United States Government and four of which are leased to the states of California, Maryland, Minnesota and South Carolina, respectively. The Company's properties contain approximately 3.3 million rentable square feet and are located in 14 states and the District of Columbia. As of March 31, 2009, tenants occupied approximately 16.2% of the Company's rentable square feet and contributed approximately 14.1% of its pro forma rental income. The Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of HRPT Properties Trust (HRPT.
